'Street Fighter IV' Movie Will Coincide With Game's Release

The new Street Fighter IV game and the new movie, Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li will be releasing simultaneously. Patrick Aiello, the movie's producer told GameDaily that the "film and game release dates will coincide."

IMDB has the film release slated for an American date of February 27, which means the game will be pushed beyond the holidays and into '09.

While this is sad, it will be nice to be able to say that a film put out with an awesome game sucked instead of the other way around, assuming the movie is not good, which is judgmental, cynical, and probably correct.

I don't know anything about the movie but I already know I'm not going to see it.

That better not be a picture of what Chun-Li is going to look like in the movie. That costume looks like it was purchased at a party city.

The video game is going to be another Capcom fighting game masterpiece and the movie more than likely is going to get an (F) grade from me if i decide to see that piece of fecal matter,you feel me?

Earlier reports of this movie called it "Street Fighter" and that the movie would focus on Chun Li. I thought this was upserd, because any movie called "Street Fighter" and being based on the legendary game should be focused on Ryu & Ken. Now it has emerged that they added "The Legend of Chun Li". This makes more sense to me; mentally I can digest this as a sequal, prequal or spin-off of the original story. By adding this I feel like the makers of this movie might be paying just a smidgeon of attention to the fans. Me thinks that there is a chance in hell that this might be a halfway decent flick. And for those of you who are hungry for "Street Fighter IV" it's actually out now . . . at an arcade near you! That's right, young ones, you're gonna have to get up off your lazy hounches and find a video arcade and play the game like I used to do. You might even have to stand in line . . . like I used to for SF II!

You want more Street Fighter movie news that s*cks? Producer Patrick Aiello said in a movie blog that Ryu & Ken WILL NOT BE in "The Legend of Chun Li" as it was decided that the movie will focus on her, and they don't want the movie to feel "overpopulated". and no... the girl in the picture won't be playing Chun Li in the movie (Is Kristin Kreuk, Smallville's Lana Lang)& it's not a image from the movie. Probably some cosplay

THE FIRST STREET FIGHTER WAS AMAZING....ly awful..so awful I have it in my collection...one of my fav movies to watch on MST night!
