Dragonforce Debuting Single In 'Guitar Hero III'

Posted by Stephen Johnson - Tuesday, August 19, 2008 8:25 AM

Our very most super-favorite English speed metal band of all time, Dragonforce, will be releasing their newest single “Heroes of Our Time” – the debut single off their new album Ultra Beatdown – as a download in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock  before the CD, Mp3 or cassette single goes on sale.

The song is part of a three-track pack hitting the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live on August 21st. The other two tracks--“Revolution Deathsquad” and “Operation Ground and Pound"-- are both from the Inhuman Rampage album. Look for all the songs to be ridonkulously hard; that's how Dragonforce rolls.

If you are uninitiated into the Dragonforce clan, please watch the video under the break of the band performing on Attack of the Show. It might change your life.

Def a studio band. Not a bad thing mind you.

That or where they played just sucked.

Dragonforce is horrible live no matter where they play. Their CDs sound good because in the studio, you can do anything to make you sound good and fix your mistakes.

pop-metal. moving on...

WOW, rofl, they're terrible even when they're sober!

watch the video, at "00:48" a guitarist on the right side gets owned....hilarious

they could turn up the guitars but they sound like they are on the wrong notes anyways... the only thing holding them down is the keyboard...

That kind of whammy abuse just detunes the best of guitars. I don't see how they can make it through a single song and stay in tune. Judging by this video, they don't.

Yes! I have been praying day and night for more overcharted songs by the worst band of all time!! Not really, I kind of hope they go by the way of Buddy Holly and Skynyrd.

They're in AOTS's studio... how good do you expect them to sound?!?!?

i just saw these guys at the rockstar mayhem tour, they are talented as hell. the song that is going onto gh3 they played at the concert......good luck, not only is it tough, but it seemed longer then usual. should be fun.

@TKEmysterio
That doesn't matter. He can't sing live and the rest can't play live. Good is good dude.

@liversnot
Talented in the studio you mean. I looked at another live performance. They do indeed suck if you buy a ticket instead of a cd.

The CD's sound better than the vid does, that small stage isn't helping at all. Overall though they're much better than the majority of the BS that comes from US groups. I don't even listen to the radio anymore, it all sucks.

Gah! What the hell! Are you guys insane? Listen, Dragonforce has to be the WORST band ever created.

EPIC FAIL!!!

Posted by pat4luigi13 - Tuesday, August 19, 2008 5:04 PM
i think the problem is that they probably dont practice that much, and when they;re playing live, they always tune their guitars half a step. they should practice more and when they do live stuff, DONT CHANGE YOUR GUITARS

Posted by shock3755 - Tuesday, August 19, 2008 8:23 PM
Ive seen them live and they are fantastic. Pop metal? Go listen to your Nickleback, thats pop metal.

Long hair and black shirts don't make music cool

i think it would be pretty cool if they put buckethead instead of herman li in one of their songs
