We're no strangers to marathon gaming, but the guild folks at Beyond the Limitation for Final Fantasy XI are something else. Staying true to their name, they have fought an endgame boss, the Pandemonium Warden, for over 18 hours straight. From what they've mentioned in forums, they certainly have limits:
“People were passing out and getting physically ill. We decided to end it before we risked turning into a horrible new story about how video games ruin people’s lives.”
And that's not even the "horrible story", in the guild's part at least. After 18 hours of pain and nerdly aspirations, the Pandemonium Warden was still not beaten. GG. Final Fantasy XI, developed by Square-Enix, was originally released for the PC in October 2003. Final Fantasy XI: Wings of the Goddess, the game's latest expansion pack, was released in November 2007.
