Valve Begins Rolling Out "Heavy Updates" To 'Team Fortress 2'

Valve has begun rolling out new information for the PC version of Team Fortress 2, with new updates set to be announced through the end of this week until next Tuesday.

Today, they announced a new community map, CP_Steel, made by Jamie "Fishbus" Manson. The map is an attack & defend scenario with a new mechanic for TF2. On CP_Steel, "capturing a control point modifies the layout of the map, opening and closing routes for each team."

Expect announcements tomorrow, Thursday, Friday, and next Monday. There will also be a final announcement next Tuesday when the update is made available to gamers.

Valve's Doug Lombardi hints at "New Maps, Achievements, Game Modes and More" as well as "a special installment to the "Meet the Team" series of video shorts."

We can only assume that this update will include achievements and unlockable weapons for the Heavy class.
