'Soulcalibur IV': Two Million Shipped

Two million souls have burned already. No, not because of the rapture, but Namco Bandai announced today that Soulcalibur IV has already shipped two million units worldwide since its July 29 launch.

Namco Bandai's latest installment on their weapon-based 3D fighter series is packed with new fighters, including special appearances from the Star Wars universe: Yoda on the Xbox 360 and Darth Vader on the PS3. Although the two can't clash lightsabers on one platform, online play still kicks ass (void when lagging). Soulcalibur IV was developed by Namco Bandai's internal development group, Project Soul. So this game is going to outsell Metal Gear Solid 4? Uh oh for the PS3...

I'm going to pick up a copy for my 360 because Yoda totally pwns Vaders a##, just like 360 pwns PS3.

I think its crazy that Yoda is even in the game after all he dosent fight in any three movies(AND THERE ARE ONLY THREE!!1!NOT 6 THOSE ARE JUST KIDDY FLICKS)so he really should keep his mentor role the 360 should get Chewie, Boba, or Han. Or Greedo lol

Bought this on release and found it lacked a crapload of features that the previous ones had. You'd think with the money involved in making a game these days they'd recycle whatever they coulf from the old one. All u get is a story mode where u fight like 5 guys, arcade, which is basically story, but u fight like 8 guys instead, but no reward cutscene at the end. And that tower mode, which seemed more like a really unrewarding afterthought they threw in. NOT IMPRESSED.. but i still bought it. I guess they get the last laugh. :(

It sucks bad when you and your younger brother constantly argue if Mace Windu is better then Yoda, but then get pwned Every match when you try and stop Yoda....

In the DLC, I want Maul, Windu, Luke, Kenobi and Yaddle, so I can teach that backwards talking frog a lesson or 5.

Oh my freakin' god. Can you use some common sense? SC4 has the advantage of being multi-plat.

And I honestly hate Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, and all of that (usually cult comic book-related) nerdy isht anyway.

And how is it "uh-oh" for the PS3 in general?

BTW, finding out that that star wars characters were in SC4 was one of the reason why I DIDN'T want to get it in the first place.

Every where I have read I hear Darth Vader Sucks ( Gameplay wise people! ) in the game, and that Yoda is really cheap ( You Cant Even Grab him ) I like the game I think it is AMAZING. I really only play with my Created character though so I don't know about the Jedi's.

Vader does suck. I wasn't impressed with him. Misturugi, Thats my dude. And, please, if you have a PS3 and play online, stop the cheating. I get so damn mad I punch things. I don't like punching things, unless in game.

give it 6 months and you will see downloadable yoda and vader for both platforms..................for a price of course

I got it and the only thing that really ticks me off is when you create a character you CANNOT give them a lightsaber or use the darth vader or apprentice style......."oohhhh its lucasarts characters you cant mess with them" FAIL

I thought story mode was WAY too easy by contrast beating the apprentice on arcade is not fair at all since you have no lightsaber and he owns regular characters because of it.

BUT the replay value of this game is not in the challenge but just leveling up and buying things and making characters..... they can have yoda just give me the ability to add a lightsaber to the characters I make

they coulda used a create a character mode similar to a wrestling game creator. I was really let down by the fact that your skills were dependednt on the gear u put on your character.. like.. half of them made no sense whatsoever in terms what the item and what they ACTUALLY do to a character..

How does vader suck? He has the choke hold and that light saber spinny thing move that takes off a lot. I'll admit he's a bit straight forward, but he's freakin VADER. He doesn't have to jump around like a flea with A.D.D. to kill you. He can just walk up to you and beat you to a pulp with raw power. His force explosions are cool and he uses a force push to put someone on the floor immediately and can then proceed to stab you when your down. I think they put him together just fine. The concept is simple. He's not a mover, he's a murderer.

You sound like one of the dudes I want to kill. I'm joking man, he is cheap though. Online, It doesn't matter how good you are with a character,If somebody masters one good combo and knows how to stay low,your f#@$%ed my friend. Espicially with the new guard impact system.
