
Like many of you, we like our games the same way as our food: delivered to us. Perhaps that's why Microsoft's Xbox Live Marketplace has raked in $240 million in revenue so far, and a huge fraction of that ($180 million) was just made in the last year.
"Right now we have over 12 million users in over 26 countries," said by Microsoft IEB manager Kevin Salcedo. He added that games that support paid downloadable content sell $21 million (average) more at retail - if the content arrives between the 30-day "sweet spot".
So since its release initial transactions in 2005, the Xbox Live Marketplace is attracting more and more audiences, especially profits. What do you think?
