For those of you attending the 2008 Magic Show fashion industry convention in Las Vegas, you might wanna think about stopping by The Icehouse nightclub (650 S. Main Street, las Vegas, NV 89101) on August 26 at 8pm for The Battle of the Brands!
The goal of 1st Annual Peoples’ Choice of Brands: The Battle of the Brands is to put the right to choose back into the hands of the consumer.
At this unique event, consumers will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite brands via online and in-person voting. Established brands such as Corvette, Nike, and Newports will compete in Best Brand categories for sneakers, cigarettes, motor bikes, cars, fast food, energy drinks, pizza and more.
The event is hosted by Freestyle 101 vet Phoenix Orion, and will also feature live performances from rappers Black Sliver, Dirt Ball and fellow Freestyle 101 homie Tash of The Alkaholiks. There will also be an MC contest, pitting various West Coast MCs against each other. Additionally, there will be a Passion for Fashion Show and videogame contests with Guitar Hero, Karaoke Revolution and SingStar.
“The Battle of the Brands plans to aggregate participating companies to a platform that would cross-market brands, industries, and demographics,” says Phocus Group Head of Operations Jason Haffley told TheFeed.
Winners in each category would walk away with year-long bragging rights, and all participants receive additional exposure on The Battle of the Brands websites, partner websites, through press releases to a variety of periodicals, and in all print marketing materials.
