'Rock Revolution' Track List Revealed?

Posted by Patrick Roche-Sowa - Monday, August 04, 2008 11:19 AM

A supposed tracklist for Rock Revolution, the "late to the party", multi-platform rhythm game from Konami, hit the net today.

If this pans out, there are some winners, but what makes us a bit apprehensive is that Konami told us at E3 that almost all of the songs in this game will be covers. That could be the factor that decides if this game is a rent or a buy. Although the game is compatible with most guitar peripherals from other rhythm games, so it's not like you gotta buy any new hardware. Oh, unless you want to play the drums, in which case you'll have to purchase Konami's ridiculously complicated 7-piece drum set. Hit the jump for the track list.

There is only 3 really good songs on that list, but that wont matter because no one is going to buy this game anyway.

Why do all these music games sell so well? Guitar hero is fun when drunk but i have never been real excited about it when sober haha.

Posted by Smartguy81 - Monday, August 4, 2008 11:32 AM

Some of those songs aren't that bad. The metaliica song is a cover anyway. I might pick up a copy of just the game from a used game store later on.

ok type "epic fail" if your really going to bye this.

Posted by shadpreston - Monday, August 4, 2008 11:37 AM

If it was 1989 I would be all over this game.

Note that if this were a Guitar Hero game, Activision would be laughed out of the building.

HA Covers...

no thanks

i bought GH II JUST for Lamb Of God.

i was sooo disappointed. i dont buy cover songs and i wont buy a game w crappy cover songs filling it.

thanks but no thanks

good list but i'm not buying those drums :P i'm still getting RB 2 and GH WT

Posted by Firestorm76 - Monday, August 4, 2008 11:59 AM

with the inclusion of Last Resort to the list it makes me think this is a wishful thinking setlist. Somehow I just don't see a song about suicide being part of a game like this.

Posted by MartyMcFly84 - Monday, August 4, 2008 12:08 PM

It's a decent list, but sad it's 99% covers probably.

Definite rent for the heck of it, but maybe I can pick up the "drums" when they're marked down to $14.99 a week after release.

Posted by n00bSector5 - Monday, August 4, 2008 12:19 PM

there's really no sense in buying a game that's mostly covers these days.

Posted by mosh1312 - Monday, August 4, 2008 12:50 PM

This sucks finally a music game has KoRn on it, but the game looks dumb damn

Posted by Triple6ix - Monday, August 4, 2008 12:52 PM

Looks like Konami is suing with one hand and crapping in the other with this game. I wonder which one will get full first?

Posted by broncos567 - Monday, August 4, 2008 12:55 PM

might as well call it rock band: the story of a guitar hero lol only some of those songs are exclusive to that game the others are from GH 3 or rock band

Posted by h0m3star - Monday, August 4, 2008 1:36 PM

I saw this game at Comic-Con (my friend played the drums at least twice every day) and it looked terrible. Good graphics, but terrible gameplay. And the drums are needlessly overcomplicated. 6 pads and a bass? Jeez.

Posted by HolyRomanEmperor - Monday, August 4, 2008 1:41 PM

seriously! all the small things, wont get fooled again, dirty little secret, etc

WHY RELEASE SONGS ALREADY ON A DIFFERENT GAME??? way to set yourself apart you tools!

Posted by Tmidiman - Monday, August 4, 2008 2:25 PM

::yawn::

Posted by RTR - Monday, August 4, 2008 2:54 PM

Why does every rhythm gotta have Stink 182 "All the Small things?" God, they suck.

Posted by JixHedgehog - Monday, August 4, 2008 9:40 PM

About time Konami decided to return to something they themselves made popular (that's right, Guitar Hero was a rip off)

My respect and loyalty for a company that's been around for almost 40 years continues.

Posted by schreiter - Tuesday, August 5, 2008 5:29 AM

okay set list makes it a rent. the fact most of those songs are on other games make it a maybe rent.

Posted by SplinterSess - Tuesday, August 5, 2008 10:53 AM

There are seriously like 4 good songs on there but the rest most of them are on rock band already....so whats really the point?

Posted by dboone2009 - Tuesday, August 5, 2008 12:41 PM

spirit of the radio would be awesome but its just gonna be a crappy cover. give me pert leifson and lee!

Posted by Intranquill - Tuesday, August 5, 2008 1:38 PM

I'm sorry..."late to the party"? Patrick Roche-Sowa, you are a complete moron. They made the freaking genre of music games you idiotic piece of garbage. Is this the kinda people G4 has working for them? What a pity. Patrick Roche-Sowa, quit your job and get a new one, let someone with knowledge take over, thanks.

And to everyone knocking the list...this isn't official you idiots. This is just the supposed list of tracks. L2read scrubs.

not a fan of the...well not a fan of anything ive seen so far even if it is unofficial with guitar hero and rock band going so strong this game is most likely a failure waiting to happen nice try tho
