With the plethora of Wii peripherals available in the market - Wii balance board, zapper, steering wheel - it's hard not to imagine what will Nintendo come up with next.
But according to company president Satoru Iwata, the arrivals of new Wii add-ons might be slowing down. "Most of the ideas for accessories that we had initially come up with are out now," said Iwata. "We might think up some more, and we might make them if we do, but we don't have any plans to release a whole lot more."
So far, Wii-Motion Plus is the company's most recent, official add-on. Iwata added that while the cost of making the Wii-Motion plus "is not that much", there will be titles available that can be only played with the add-on. The latest peripheral will be packaged with Wii Sports Resort that will be released in Spring 2009. With Iwata's statement, were you looking forward to any "unique" Wii add-ons from Nintendo? If so, enlighten us...
