Roger Avary, the screenwriter responsible for such great achievments as Pulp Fiction, The Rules of Attraction, Silent Hill, and Beowulf, is working on the script for the film adaptation of Wolfenstein "right now", according to ID Software CEO Todd Hollenshead. "With the writer's strike it took so long to get underway and Roger Avary, the writer, had a commitment that was in line before working the Wolfenstein stuff, but I've recently been in contact with Roger and he's actually working on the script right now," explained Hollenshead.
With so many good films under his belt, one would expect this game-to-movie attempt to come out slightly ahead of its peer group. However, looking at the valiant, but failed attempt at making a Silent Hill movie makes us cautious. Considering we're talking about a storyline that contains Super Nazis, posessed robotic human hybrids, and Mecha-Hitler, the chances of this movie taking a long stroll down Cheesy Lane are seeming fairly high.
