If there's something strange in the Ghostbusters video game release, call Sony Pictures. The next-gen video game adaptation of 80s blockbusters might be delayed due to the studio's potential plans to release the title with the 25th anniversary of the original film next year
Sony Pictures, who caught the 'Ghostbusters' rights, said to Variety that the recent complications with the publisher opened "an opportunity to reevaluate the game release marketing strategy to potentially coincide with the 25th anniversary of the original film in '09."
Ghostbusters, developed by Terminal Reality, is still set to hit the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 (and 2), PC, Nintendo Wii and DS consoles in October. Check out an exclusive hands on demo after the cut.
