Lord British Taking Players' DNA To Space

Posted by John Manalang - Wednesday, July 30, 2008 9:07 AM

Richart Garriott, the famous "Lord British" who gave us Ultima, has given the gaming community another opportunity - possibly greater than the latter. He's taking Tabula Rasa players' DNA to outer space in "Operation Immortality".

That's right, it's the chance to live forever. CNET reports that Garriott paid over eight figures for the chance of intergalactic prosperity. The British lord will be climbing aboard the Russian Soyuz rocket en route to the Space Station with a time capsule filled with players' precious DNA.

"Operation Immortality" is set to launch this October, and players who have an active account as of September 2 will have their Tabula Rasa characters uploaded digitally to the time capsule. Tabula Rasa by NC Soft was released last November for the P.C.
