There are tons of rumors swirling around Spike Jonze's adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are. Talks of Jonze having issues with the studio have been mostly crushed by producer Gary Goetzman in an interview with Ain't it Cool's Mr. Beaks.
Apparently, the rumors that Max was poorly acted by complete unknown Max Records, that Jonze is slated to be let go, and that the entire film which was supposed to be released in October of 2008 is being completely reshot are all false.
No doubt there is trouble in the Warner Bros. arena regarding Where the Wild Things Are, it's just unclear what the delays are all about. Hopefully these delays will result in a better adaptation of this classic, cherished children's book.
