Bradley Thompson and David Weddle, scribes of the critically acclaimed Sci Fi network series Battlestar Galactica, are reported by Shack News as the script writers for SEGA's Aliens: Colonial Marines FPS title, due out this October for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.

Developer Gearbox Software prez Randy Pitchford told Shack News during an E3 interview that the two talents were on board. Pitchford said that the writers gave his company a great amount to work with, even joking around saying, "We could make a whole season of TV with the stuff they gave us."

Battlestar Galactica has been praised as the best show on television in 2005 by Time Magazine and Rolling Stone. Aliens: Colonial Marines is set to pick off the classic sci-fi franchise, as players are put in the helm of US Marines armed with human and alien artillery in an alien warfare. With the game supporting a four player co-op mode, this title is set to charm many sci-fi shooter fanatics.
