X-Play's Best Of E3 Awards Tonight!

E3 might be over, but we're not done by a longshot. Tonight, X-Play returned to the air to bring your their Best of E3 Awards. This year's E3 brought a list of titles of unprecedented quality, but only a few were able to garner our label of Best of E3.What did you think of the decisions? Did LittleBigPlanet really deserve the title of E3 Best Of Show? Or should it have gone to revolutionary first-person action title Mirror's Edge?

id say that sony is better because iv been with sony since the original playstation and iv never been disapointed my fist game was jurassic park lost world and i think the reson that sony is so huge and has been around for quite a while and also that my online is free un less i buy packs or anyting from the store so i dont have to choose betwen my online gaming or buying the next best game on the shelf

I agree with blackseed, I heard the event it self was not that exciting to go to, but G4 did a great job putting focus on the games themselves.

Yea, I love Toyota and now I have a Nissan.. Xbox is clearly doing better than Sony right now. I have a PS2 and now I have an Xbox 360. Sony has a lot to catch up too. Games being the one thing they don't have. Exclusives which they are losing. Money which is the reason why they cannot do a price cut. PSN - which has delayed HOME over and over again. MGS4 which did not do as much as Call of Duty 4, Halo 3 or GTA4. US sales for PS3 is what??? 1.8 Million, Xbox 360 Sales which is what??? 10.5 Million in US sales. Yes, Sony is doing good, but they are not doing better. Not for a long shot. While they still work on the on going problems with delays, delays and more delays and losing more and more PS exclusives, then they are really headed in the wrong direction. This Christmas, we shall see. Now, in reguards to God of War 3. I will not hold my breath. Can be a 2009 winter or 2010 spring release.

It is 50 bucks per year. Get over it. If you can't afford that you shouldn't be worried about online play or gaming period.

As far as E3 goes...hard to choose. I was quite surprised by alot of the content this year. I figured this would be a so so year or extremely light year...however whether it was G4's presentation or just the sheer talent of the studios showcasing this year I am impressed and ready to dole out wads of cash.

Ghostbusters looked really good.

no hate here, but thats 1.8 mill just this year, just in the U.S.---they are on track to sell 10 million worldwide this year. Of course the xbox sells more, its cheaper. Im sure sams choice soda sells more than pepsi at wal mart too that doesent mean its better.

look at the best xbox game list--wtf??? halo wars? 2009 release? too human??? that game sucks. Where the eff is left 4 dead? did xplay forget about left 4 dead? too human?

multiplatform: Fallout 3
online multiplayer:Little Big Planet
original game: Mirrors Edge
most innovative: Mirrors Edge
wii: none they didnt even put any good games let alone nintendo games
GAME of the SHOW:Little Big Planet i would like Gears of War 2 to win but i thing Little Big Planet because Adam and Morgan really seemed to like it

ill prolly pick up Prototype, Bioshock 2, Bionic Commando, and hopefully Age of Conan.

maybe halo wars...i like empire at war on PC, but not much of an RTS fan.

I agree. Left 4 Dead should be in place of Too Human. That game looks like pure fun, no matter what platform it's released for. Too Human has promise, but It won't be as popular as Left 4 Dead.

are you looking forward to KZ2? I'm not personally. Mediocrity was the tune of the first one...I don't see it getting any better since it is the same people doing it. Sorry, I'm just not a fan of looking forward to sequels of crappy games.

On that note...Bioshock will be much more applauded comparatively.

I'm looking forward to Killzone 2. I owned the first one, and it was no Halo 2, the best halo by the way, but it was cool, I liked it.

i have a 360 and i played the too human demo and im sorry but in all seriousness it was horrible i quit the demo in 3 minutes the graphics were horrible and when you fight your character can randomly lunge like 50 feet to hit someone it is just a stupid game it could have been good but games developers have to understand that no matter how good a story is if the graphics are horrible then it was a waste but the story is not good at all either. Graphics are what make the game interesting to roam around in or simply be able to look at the character the entire game. Here are some games to look forward to that actually have good gameplay and graphics along with cool ideas. Far Cry 2 graphics-awsome gameplay- very interesting roamable, Gears 2 graphics- way awsome gameplay- still way awsome, Fable 2 grpahics- awsome in a different sence though not in a realistic idea but still great and the gameplay- totally cool free roamable and the dog idea very new and very cool.

Banjo-Kazooie looks pretty awesome. Looks to be a Mario 64/Galaxies type platformer, and galaxies was great. Alan Wake looks promising. Looks like Silent Hill meets RE or something. I think Age of Conan is exclusive. Mass Effect 2 are Star Ocean will buy some of my time as well.

I guess you should prolly be more specific when making flamebait arguments, since I can't read your mind, and would be in mental anguish if I could. Exclusives...check. Ooooh PC, I guess if I want to play AoC with other PC players, then yeah, you got a point. But AoC on 360 will be exclusive to playing with other 360 players. That's how Funcom is going to do it in the end. Go read the boards a bit if you really believe the shared servers thing...

Pretty much looking forward to anything in 2009 is just going to be ppl's opinions since no one nows how good they'll be. Thus my point of why anything announced for 2009 shouldn't be in the awards list.

360 fails in every way possible, I don't believe it deserves any awards. It's so far behind the competition in stable hardware and decent games that it's sad people got suckered into buying one. I mean it's the most expensive console out there once you factor in the money you waste to play online for the average 5-6 year lifespan. And what does it have to show? Zilch. Wii wins unless Sony refocuses away from movies and non-games. They got plenty now but I need more. My PS2 collection stands at like 130 games, the variety is good. (No sports or FPS's as filler either.)

Oh and as for the Valve comments I read - they do suck. HL1 was great, but they ruined HL2 completely by infecting it with the Steam virus. All that program does it slow down and cripple both the game and PC, none of my other games have any issues. I've boycotted them until Steam goes away, which is a shame since I woulda tried the episode packs and Portal, but won't.

i like all three consoles and since sony nor microsoft is cutting me a check i'm not going to argu about whos better. as far as next years games for microsoft , i'm not worried about it i like to live in the now and if the ps3 (which i like also) wins next year or even this year it would be about time.

dude wii didnt win anything, they were lucky to even be invited to e3. I dont know if you saw dude but sony has a few good games coming out in the next 12 months, and to be honest imma have to buy like at least 15-20 games in the next year even though i have no time to play them

G4 you didn't play the conduit for the wii. Because if you did it would have been the best wii game there. Every other site seems to think so and I seem to think so. So what happened? High Voltage didn't let you see it.

I think what G4 did this year with E3 WAS AMAZING as they did with every year.I have always liked Sony because they have always brought good games to the table but this year not so much Resitance 2 looks nice but when it was being played during the Sony Conference it just looks like another Cheesey FPS as the first one did when i played it. Now God of War is ALWAYS a good title but, will it be a game where i can play it over and over and still enjoy it unlike its previous games. KillZone2 the game looks amazing and the Gameplay looks like it will match up to Halo3 maybe better cause Sony needs it. Little Big Planet looks fun for casual gamers i dont think it will be a very large game but it will be fun overall and I believe this game will make sony a decent amount of money.

Now the Xbox Games did very much impress me like Gears2 Fallout3 even Too Human. First im gonna start with Too Human, The game has gotten a lot of beef but its showing some of the best visuals and some really fun Gameplay.Gears2 is just FUN more than likely to make GAME OF THE YEAR with AMAZING VISUALS AND SOLID GAMEPLAY. Fallout 3 is bringing the RPG feeling of Eldar of Scrolls and an FPS feeling to it with Amazing Visuals and of course its also bringing a little comedy into it by killing your enemys with Teddy Bears now i will diffently enjoy myself with that. Halo Wars is on the balance beam right now it just seems that You have a base and you create units at that one Base which is ONE BUILDING you can upgrade your base to have turrets and build some type of addons to create Tank and Warthogs but is it just that.

Nintendo didnt have much to offer this E3 but the games it announced were pretty awsome and animal crossing is one of those casual games i like to play theres not much to say about it it still has the cheesey 64 graphics look that people enjoyed. Deadly Creatures looks like an enjoyable game gameplay looks simple and graphics looks good.

PC TIME! The PC has plenty of good games to offer like Left 4 Dead that looks like i will end up pissing my pants and screamin when 30 zombies pop up. Spore looks AMAZING i can already tell that i am going to enjoy creating monsters from every sort and elminating other Faction monsters from my planet.

Last but not least i believe Microsoft was the Winner because of its partner ship with Netflix and because its offering some of the Best games this year and next and the Xbox is getting an AMAZING MAKEOVER As well

Well, well ,well. Looks to me G4 is finally understanding what I and other PS3 owners knew all along. They said it a plethora of times, "original", "Unique". They actually looked more excited talking about the PS3 then the other systems.

Im definitely waiting for Killzone 2, LBP, Infamous, and the 400$ 80G core pack. Im glad I waited to get a PS3 all this time, now I can get the best PS3 console and the best games for it.

And I would like to personally thank G4 for informin us on all things E3 because if they didnt, I prolly woulda wasted my money on food and rent this year and not this fantastic games.

And Id also like to say kudos to everyone on this comment list for not making a flamewar out of E3 and just making it about the games.

bravo sony. i might pick up a ps3 come christmas time. however, since i own a 360.....BWEEEEEEEEEEFABLE2GEAR S2BWEEEEEEEE!sony impressed me the most, but i have no clear winner. lovely to share views with you folks all week.
