'Dead Rising' Emerges On The Wii

How did Capcom fail to announce this on their press event? Scans from Japan's revered Famitsu Weekly magazine (via WiiEveryday) indicate a Wii version of Capcom's other zombie masher, Dead Rising. Originally released for the Xbox 360 in 2006, Dead Rising is Capcom's ode to Dawn of the Dead as players take on the role Frank West, a photojournalist who gets locked up in a shopping mall full of the undead. Just like Capcom's translation of Resident Evil 4 for the Wii, expect some unique Wii-mote zombie slaying controls. No word yet on any release date here.

Dead Rising is one of the primary reasons I'm still holding onto my 360. Nice job Nintendo. If Capcom can deliver a faithful port (and maybe a nice sequel that lands on the PS3), I'll be that much closer to getting rid of that hunk of crap!

Dead Rising is awesome. Sometimes whenever I am having a bad day, I'll just pop in Dead Rising and take my frustration out on Zombies.

this will fix the terrible aiming controls in the 360 version, but i wonder if the graphics will suffer or not on the wii

When I saw the demo for Dead Rising, I knew I had to get the 360. I still play it. Take picture, whoop ass, I love that. How are they gonna get the same graphics on the Wii. Am I missing something?
