E3 is still sizzling and the news just keeps on getting better. In an interview with MTV Multiplayer, Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment Business head Don Mattrick confirmed that Bungie is working on a new Halo title. Mattrick was not apparently concerned that Microsoft did not bring any Halo content to E3 as their conference on Monday was already loaded with enough content (no such thing) to get us all excited.
But when he was asked about the absence of Halo Wars in E3, he said not to worry because Microsoft is working closely with Bungie on a new Halo title. For clarification, he was asked if the new title was either Halo Wars or Peter Jackson's long-announced Halo project - Mattrick said it was neither.
Could this be the rumored Master Chief-less squad-based title? Does it have to do anything with the cancelled Bungie.net announcement? Of course, we'll bring you all the answers as soon as we find out. For now, keep your browsers on our E3 2008 coverage. And if you missed Microsoft's conference, check it out here.
