'Half-Life 2: Episode 3' Concept Art Found

The 2008 IntoThePixel E3 art gallery has some concept art for Valve's Half-Life 2: Episode 3, although sources tell us there won't be any Half-Life action at E3 as Valve is focused on pushing Left 4 Dead.

The IntoThePixel web site lists the platforms for the supposed final installment as PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. The game does not have a release date yet.

Wasn't the whole reason why valve "embraced" Epsodic content was to get game out quicker?

Valve eposidic content = EPIC FAIL

yeah they said all episodes would come out in the same year right? I'm not complaining though. both episodes 1 and 2 were great.

Actually I hope it takes until next generation to roll out Half Life 3, cause I want them to make it sweet. Take your time, valve, take your time.

For some reason I'm ok with waiting longer for HL2 episodes but your right about the concept being episodes = quicker.
I dont think they even have a date set yet, maybe a year ?
But ep3 I'm sure will not disappoint.

sorry, I know that previously I read someone at valve saying "you are playing Half life 3. we just released it in parts to get it to the fans quicker." or something like that.

would you have been happier if I said Half Life 4? because I can. It's been officially confirmed that there will be another game after episode 3. Although, episode 3 will conclude this story arc.

I can not wait for Episode 3 to release. Half-Life in it's entirety has to be one of the best shooter franchises ever along side BioShock.

i saw this pic in a magazine back when the orange box came out. ive been looking everywhere for it so thanks for postin.

also, the episodes ARE NOT considered HL3. all the episodes are part of the same story arc.

you know what, either way i am all for whatever valve prepares to bring us :D

i just read some things that alluded me to think that the episodes were actually hl3. either way i think that they could definitely improve the series by focusing on the next-gen consoles out now.

People can be so dumb saying HALF LIFE (2) - episode is half life 3. If it were half life 3, it would look more like this. Half life 3: episode 1,2,3..etc. Please people don't argue with logic, logic always wins.

The episodes are just like the expansion packs valve put out for the first Half-Life; remember Opposing Force and Blue Shift anyone?
