According to a source close to the production, the upcoming movie by Sacha Baron "Borat" Cohen isn't only about his Bruno character. Instead, Cohen will be playing "Straight Dave," a gay man trying to hide his sexuality by living an ultra-straight lifestyle. Apparently, Cohen feels Bruno is too well known to get away with being the only character in the feature. Our source says the Texas fight (covered yesterday) featured Cohen entering the ring as Straight Dave, talking about how much he hates homosexuals between matches, before making out with another man.
According to our source, a lot of excitement went down in Texas after Cohen left. The crowd of fight fans were very angry after Cohen's homo-riffic display, and the police had to keep spectators and fighters away from the movie's crew as they loaded out their equipment.
The cops had been duped by Cohen and company as well, and they eventually left the crew to fend for themselves. Minor fights broke out, but the crews were able to calm some of the crowd by pointing out that they had been tricked by the very best--that Cohen is no Tom Green. That quelled some of the fighting, but the crowd still didn't see the humor.
