G4's Massive E308 Coverage Announced

Posted by Robt. Juster - Friday, July 11, 2008 11:45 AM

As you might imagine, E3 is a very special time of year here at the G4 offices... You’ll never see a giddier bunch of nerds and geeks in your whole life as in the week leading up to E3.  With that in mind, and ahead of the official G4 press release, we wanted to give you an idea of what to expect from our E3 coverage will be this year.  With over 17 hours of live coverage on G4 – including COMMERCIAL FREE coverage of the Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo press conferences – its going to be quite a week. And if that’s not enough, you can count on the G4tv.com team to bring you even more: Every single trailer and screenshot, live streaming coverage of all press conference (not just the big three but all the rest), special editions of The MMO Report, Sessler’s Soapbox and Freestyle 101, and more.  Oh yeah, and we’ll be launching an HD version of our video player so you can watch high res versions of all of your favorite E3 trailers. Bamph!

As always, you’ll be able to enjoy highlights of our E3 coverage (and tons of web-exclusives) on G4tv.com... along with coverage extended to G4 Podcasts and G4 Mobile (now available on VCAST). G4 on Demand (VOD) coverage on you cable/ satellite set-top box will start July 17th.

@Jaredb2 - the on-air content will still be in SD for now. The HD content online and on VOD will be mostly game trailers, with some custom previews/ gameplay packages.

Uh, G4 gents, where's the Square Enix Conference streaming live? Oh wait, you're showing EA's conference in that time slot. Disappointing. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers.

Posted by shamus312 - Tuesday, July 08, 2008 4:55 PM
what no warhammer coverage...

as far as best of e3 out of that list I think LBP will be in the running, but will probably go to gears...

killzone2, resistance2, i like that. god of war3 will be a surprise title at the sony press conference. When the trailer hit, people will be like (wooooooow). But for the third time straight, sony will once again win e3.

Posted by The1stMJC - Tuesday, July 08, 2008 11:34 PM
I want Kingdom Hearts3, but feel that it could be a let down. I want trophy support for games like MGS4 announced and MLB the Show. And Home given a date. I am a PS3 fanboy, but damn Sony can lift u up and than kick down at the same damn time.!

I'm a dissapointed that SE isn't in the online stuff, they are known for their amazing cut scenes, and in HD, why would they pick EA, which usually only does annoying sports games (sry if you like them, I think they are boring, aside from Techmo Bowl)? Anyway, the Microsoft announcement with Bungie will be very interesting and I'd like to see what Nintendo has in store. ost of the games on those lists are PS3 and 360, so does Nintendo have a black horse up their sleeve like Twighlight Princess?

Posted by coppakosh05 - Wednesday, July 09, 2008 7:54 AM
i'm happy that the press conferences will be streamed online so i can watch it at work. hooray!! and when i get home i'm glued to the tv.

ok so umm...square enix?
kingdom hearts?

S-E will disappoint E3 since FFXIII is not even listed on their lineup, thus EA takes the spot for garnering and actually appreciating their E3 audience. Unlike S-E which basically snubs this event for TGS.

What?!? No Infinite Undiscovery love? Is there not going to be a demo for it available or what? Did SquEnix also pull out of the ESA?

Posted by Plasmadragon555 - Thursday, July 10, 2008 7:12 AM

Gears of War 2 will shatter the universe. Just watch the gameplay vid and your eyes will bleed because they're not worthy of seeing such greatness.

HOLY CRAP

Posted by beggars123 - Thursday, July 10, 2008 3:06 PM

As Adam gets all get about events like this, so am i. I can't wait. Have Wed. and Thursday off of work as my two days off, and i'm really glad i do. Don't even care that i have to work the whole weekend. The game i'm looking forward to seeing actual gameplay the most is Fallout 3.
