'Wall-E' First Large Arabic Game

Posted July 7, 2008 - By Stephen Johnson

That adorable little cartoon robot Wall-E's tie-in videogame is more than just some promotional shovelware from Pixar. First off, people actually kind of like it, but secondly, it's the first major videogame to be localized in Arabic.

Luke Keighran, THQ export sales manager, said: “We are delighted to be part of this, launching an Arabic game is every Arab gamers’ wish. This is a great opportunity for us to grow further in promising territories like Saudi Arabia and Egypt, and a solid demonstration of our commitment to the Middle East market."

Right on! Bringing the world together through gaming. Below is a trailer for the game, which is out now across every platform, from THQ. It will be out for the Arab market later in the year.
