The Virtual-Boy Lite may still have a chance folks. Nintendo stated to Eurogamer that claims of them introducing a widescreen Nintendo DS soon are 'purely rumor and speculation.'
Rumors began to swirl the intertubes after Aeropause.com posted a Nippon Ichi ad showing significantly wider DS screens. The system's latest design, the Nintendo DS Lite, was first introduced in 2006, only a couple years after the original Nintendo DS launch. In that case, expect to hear something from Nintendo this coming E3. Of course, you can lend your eyes and ears to us in tuning our extensive E3 2008 coverage starting next week.
