that 3rd pic looks like its from gears 1, I think they got them mixed up. I know that they did a remake but the remake looks different.

Although i enjoyed playing Gears 1, it got repetitive fast and this one looks like the same game with some thrown in shields and different executions. I'm also sick of these rehashed maps. We're spending $60 for a new Gears so stop half assing it and come up with new/better maps!

@tarshimo, when you look at the picture in your link it does look different than the third one- but when you look at the picture that comes after that it looks different than that other picture but also looks like this one.
maybe this is a hint that the settings change depending on gamemode or something...

so what cs:source goes up to like 50-60 players as well but i always play 2v2 in dedust2 i think its more fun then 25v25 in gears there is also no respawning so you cant just run and gun getting kills you have to think a little and be skilled

resistance 2 will probably have 30 v 30 instant respawn+no skill+dieing alot= fun?

and i know a team of 30 cant come up w/ a plan on psn because of the piss poor communication

BUT AT LEAST YOULL HAVE THE OPTION, this is by far the best game on your lame ass console. You are comparing r2 to cs? You lose all credibility. Maybe this games campaign mode will last more than 3 hours...we will just have to wait another 4 months to find out. Just keep playing Ninja Gaiden til then guys...Trolls suck dont they?

ironcock screen name just shows how imature he is. Both consoles have their merits and their faults, but it's sure bet so far that the 360 has the best online service. Resistence 2 looks like a fun game, but when you have such a large player match, it tends not be as intense then smaller matches.

Resistance 2 will have squads, you ain't just gonna see 30 people running all around the map. You guys will just have to wait and see. Gears 1 multi was boring after a couple of days, and a flamethrower and a shield is what is supposed to make this way better? Anyway, the game looks good thou. But lord, When was the last time the xbox had a good game? November 07 or something?

lol who ever doesn't have a 360 by now is a looser, or most likely a ps3 fanboy.

Gears 2 = GOTY 08 / system seller (it's one the reasons why i got a 360)

Resis 2 = ??? just another fps shooter with aliens, i've played the first and gears takes a giant crap on it, and gears 2 will take it even further than that.

360 always at least 5 giant leaps ahead of anything on the ps3. This game is gonna lower my grades. Very unfortunate for me. Damn Cliffy! Why did you have to go and make this game so uberawesome? I should have bought a ps3 from the begining, so I wouldn't feel inspired to play at all. Yes, I am yet to play any games on my ps3. Don't feel like it. Looks like the only way I'm guaranteed good grades is by selling my 360. But I feel like I'll be selling a piece of my soul.

Battlefield: BC has squads. Didn't work out the best, and i suspect resistance 2 won't do it any better. Gears 2 multiplayer will be something worth remembering. R2 multiplayer will be so laggy and lame it will be forgotten.

I am the ultimate! I earned the Big Boss emblem in MGS4:GotP 2 days ago in 4 hrs. 20 min. and I didn't even have a Solar Gun! Gears 2 looks to be awesome, but what's with the announcement on Gears 3? I think Gears shouldn't be rushed and #2 should be focused on more.(Lol, focus on #2.)

They long since stopped caring about their respective system, instead they focus only on trolling. The madden kid couldn't even think of anything beyond saying I got, as the birth defects call it, "owned" when nothing was even said against me. Then again, his whole mission in life seems to generally try and be the worst example of the internet possible at all times, so no surprise there.

If it's PS3 news, they flock to it and troll troll troll. If it's 360 news they do the same. They don't even care about games or gaming anymore, all they want to do is try and piss people off on the internet and G4 gives them that opportunity.

Hell, just watch that video that mr_nice_guy put up, look at the 360 comments here, and you'll see it's not a PS3 thing or a 360 thing it's a damn fanboy thing. The more dedicated the fanboy, the greater atrocity and mindlessness that person's post will be.

But Nerdgasming over a game that's essentially an afterthought is kinda cute to watch. I love gears' visuals. but. I can't help but think of that poor poor killswitch gears carbon copied itself from.

Still... It should be better than the first. But an afterthought nonetheless. it'll up the current user base for gears. But, probably won't push an astounding amount of hardware.

I'll play this, for free probably, on my pc, and then I'll play something else. A console is not worth the investment these days, and gears will end up like everything published/funded by M$. On PC, fo' freeee.

Then again, if you have to use words like "pwnd", "n00b", and the myriad of racial and homophobic slurs that continually make up the sewer sludge of gaming in order to be considered a "real" gamer, then gee I guess you can keep that title.

I play games, I love games, so by all rights and respects that makes me a gamer. By all means though, stay a "real" gamer...it lets everyone else around you know what not to be.

And for the record, pwned comes from Warcraft, not Starcraft.
