'Rock Band' DLC For Next Week: Rush, Chili Peppers

While you wait for the 12 tracks from The Who, you'll be happy to know that next week's Rock Band DLC is amazing.

  • Red Hot Chili Peppers - Snow (Hey Oh)
  • Red Hot Chili Peppers - Tell Me Baby
  • Rush - Closer to the Heart
  • Rush - Working Man (alternate-take master)

All songs are master-tracks.

Each song will run you 160 Microsoft points or $1.99. They will release on Tuesday on the Xbox 360 and Thursday on the PlayStation 3.

Why is next week's DLC so great? Those are Rush master tracks. This marks the first time that we've seen Rush master tracks in a music game.

Not only that, the new version of Working Man "is an alternate-take master from the same session they recorded the hit with an alternate solo. It has never been released." Not only do we finally get Rush masters, but we get a completely unreleased track!

Thank god the people at Rock Band love Rush... since I love Rush. We just need a full cd type release from Rock Band, that'd be awesome.

Moving Pictures has been rumored to be an upcoming album DLC.

Now we know they have access to some Rush masters... it could happen!

I believe a "master track" is one the band actually recorded. So far all of the Rush music in RB has been a cover band doing the song.

Working Man is on my list for sure.
