2K Games has enlisted the help of Digital Extremes, the makers of Dark Sector, for help on the PS3 version of BioShock. The port, which is already being developed by three different 2K Studios now adds a fourth.

While Dark Sector wasn't that good of a game (X-Play Review 2 / 5) it did run incredibly well on the PlayStation 3.

How should we read this? Is 2K having that much trouble getting BioShock to run on the PS3? Is the award-winning FPS not running as well as it could?

"By partnering with Digital Extremes, 2K Games is delivering a fully optimized experience that takes advantage of the PLAYSTATION 3 system hardware," said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. "Bringing Digital Extremes on board allows us to continue to deliver the best experience possible to our fans."

We'll get to see the game at E3 2008 so be sure to check out all of G4's coverage, which begins on July 14th.
