Average TV Viewer Hits 50

The average tv viewer has reached a median age of 50 years old. This, by the way, is bad news for anyone under 30 as networks are going to stop caring about you.

The Baby Boomer generation is finally making one of its last impacts on our culture. They're turning everything 'old.' Check out the Variety article for a complete rundown of the statistics on who is watching what of the major and smaller cable networks and start to look forward to more shows about angels and angry doctors.

This does not take into account people who DVR their shows or people who just buy the dvd after the season is done or pirates who watch illegaly. This is no solace as the reason they do these studies is to measure for advertising dollars and the preceding three methods of watching have no advertising model attached to them.

G4 will not be carrying any shows featuring angels or angry doctors. But you can count us to keep bringing you what you want; Hurl.
