French publisher Ubisoft announced that it will soon open a studio in Sao Paulo, Brazil, giving the company studios on 5 different continents. This will be the 20th studio for the publisher, but their first in South America.Ubisoft is shooting to open the studio later this month, starting with 20 developers with plans to expand to a team of 200 in the next 4 years. Bertrand Chaverot, who has four years' experience in the country, operating Ubisoft's Brazilian sales subsidiary from 1999 through 2003, and was previously managing director of Ubisoft's external development department for Europe, the Middle East and Asia, will lead the new South American studio.
