The battle between social-networking sites Facebook and MySpace continues: For the first time since its launch, Facebook has usurped MySpace and taken the number one spot in terms of unique visitors in May.
According to web monitoring company ComScore Facebook attracted more than 123m unique visitors in May, compared with 114.6m unique visitors at MySpace. MySpace's traffic grew just 5 per cent compared with last year at this time, while Facebook's traffic was up over 162 per cent for the same time period.
We suggest that MySpace build traffic by creating a Facebook page for itself and inviting all its Friendster friends to visit via Bebo.
