With Blizzard's Worldwide Invitational launching in Paris this weekend, we've been expecting an announcement from Blizzard. Most people are speculating that Diablo III will finally be announced, but this new splash page at Blizzard.com doesn't look very Diablo-themed to me.

All signs point to the new World of WarCraft expansion, The Wrath of the Lich King, due to the icy nature of Arthas and Northrend. Could we get a release date or beta announcement? Blizzard has stated that the MMO's expansion will release in 2008.

There's a chance, however, that it could be Diablo III. Maybe Diablo and his demon buddies have been frozen in the time between the games. Act 5 of Diablo II did take place in a very cold place, after all. They are due for another game in the franchise that made the isometric RPG so famous.

What do you think this means? What do you want it to mean? Me... I want it to be somehow StarCraft II related (best RTS ever!).
