PSN Cards Hit Retail

Posted by Brian Leahy - Monday, June 23, 2008 11:39 AM

Sony has apparently quietly launched PSN Cards in $20 and $50 denominations. Sony did not officially announce them so we do not know if they are available everywhere at this time.

These should satisfy your non-credit card having and gift-giving needs for PSN content.

Kotaku notes, however, that they are only activated when they are run through the register so stealing them won't do you much good. Unless you have a spare register at your apartment... don't steal.

Like a million years later, but it happened. That will make it a bit better for downloading things for Rock Band and such. I always felt weird putting in my credit card each time.

I've been seeing these around my Walmart for months now, I thought they were always out.

I concur with Majin -- It's awkward putting your credit card number in on your 32" flatscreen so anyone around can see what it is.

@ staychisel

You're a douchebag. Have you been on the PSN? There is quite a bit of content on there.

Anyway, I'm glad they finally got these out, been waitin forever lol, I also hate using my debit card on the psn.
