Claiming that German website 4Players reviewed a pirated or incomplete version of Alone in the Dark, Atari has reportedly filed a lawsuit.
Atari has apparently claimed that the date of 4Players review--which gave the 360 version of the survival-horror title 68%--implies it came from an illicit or incomplete copy of Alone in the Dark. They are asking for an undisclosed amount of compensation. 4Players says they acquired the game through a retail connection.
We wonder how a relatively solid review of a game (68% is hardly a bomb) could be said to affect anything enough to warrant a lawsuit, but we're really looking forward to this game, either way!
The PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360 and Wii editions of Alone in the Dark hits North American retailers on June 24. A PlayStation 3 version is expected this fall.

Have confidence in your game and aim for high reviews from other outlets, not direct all the attention on a negative one and create a PR nightmare for the game even before its release!
you are one of the dumbest people i've ever seen post here . aside from a select few people...
seeing the game got a 68% why would we want a crap game anyway? its not like you honestly are going to get this game ABYSSAL
I own a 360, and even I think you're an idiot.
And abyssal, no serious martial artist would ever say "ill punch and kick the crap out of you" to anyone much less somebody on the internet because they have a different opinion than you. I hope you started your "martial arts" when you were born because you're acting like you're six.
True and to abyssal thing you said. Doesnt matter if your a martial arts star it doesnt mean that he can kick are ass's. Ive seen many suppostly great people that knew martial arts get their ass's kicked by people that didnt know a lick of fighting techniques. Its all for show in a real fight you wont get a kick in. the only fighting style thats good in a fight is Judo.
Well, abyssal? Hello? I'm looking at you.
How good did it make you feel when you told us all that you're a six-year martial artist? Kick? Punch? It's all in your mind.
Getting anything lower than a 70%, 7/10, 3/5 is essentially the kiss of death for a game, but I guess that's why the Feed is the one posting up articles while XPlay handles the game reviewing.
This is pretty much universal among American universities. High school and below run on the old 0-64 = F, 65-74 a D, et cetera.
