Taco Bell Asks 50 Cent To Change Name?

AllHipHop.com has obtained a letter from Taco Bell sent to 50 Cent letter asking him to change his name to "79 Cent," "89 Cent" or "99 Cent" for one day this summer to promote its new “Why Pay More” value menu.

Taco Bell Corp. President Greg Creed made the proposal in a letter written to the William Morris Agency, 50's agent, and noted that his company would make a $10,000 donation to a charity of ‘s choice if he accepts the request.

As part of the deal, 50 Cent would also have to make an appearance at any Taco Bell location around the country he chooses and rap his order in the drive thru with his new name. Thereby tarnishing his credibity and reputation FOREVER! LOL!

“We encourage you to ‘Think Outside the Bun’ and hope you accept our offer,” Creed wrote.

Not surprisingly, the man born Curtis Jackson was not amused. He told Allhipop: “When my legal team is finished with them, Taco Bell is going to have a new corporate slogan: 'We messed with the bull and got the horns.'”

A rep for the rapper issued this followup statement:

"This is a sleazy and ill-conceived publicity stunt by Taco Bell's president, Greg Creed, whose disingenuous offer was leaked to the press before it was even presented to 50 Cent's agent yesterday."

Uh…. Greg…you better run for the border, my man!
