You know that Nine Inch Nails digi album The Slip everyone’s raving on about? Well, it will be released on CD afterall. On July 22, with distribution via RED, to be exact.
In the United States, Canada and parts of Japan, the two-disc set is limited to 200,000 individually numbered copies in digipak form, and will include a bonus DVD of Nine Inch Nails performing material from the effort during rehearsals, as well as a 24-page booklet and stickers. The same package will be available in Europe, Australia and the United Kingdom but will not be limited or numbered.
The Slip will also be available on vinyl Aug. 5 in the United States and Canada and a day before internationally. Vinyl editions will not be limited.
But have no fear, mainman Trent Reznor promises the album will stay free as a download "indefinitely" on the band's site.
No word on the 8-track version…
