Rumor: 'Guitar Hero IV' Details For Days

According to supposedly leaked marketing documents, Guitar Hero World Tour will cost $179.99 with instruments and will feature music from Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Korn, System of a Down, Ozzy Osbourne, Interpol, Muse "and dozens more".

Not a bad set of artists, eh?

The game's guitar controller will reportedly come with a "touch-sensitive" neck, allowing you to slide up the fretboard for soloing. The music game will be out this fall for the PS2, PS3, 360 and Wii.

well if rockband comes out with a 2nd ill have a hard time because System of a down, Foo Fighters, Jimmi hendrix, interpol, AND the smashing pumpkins are all bands i love

Nope. Not paying another 180 for a band set up. Maybe I will just buy the stand alone disc and use my current guitar.

I'll keep my ears open, but I have doubts. GH3 was not programed very well. No groove at all. Harmonix is better at programming.

Music creation sounds promising.

I have a feeling a lot of people are not going to buy the bundle unless your rich or your parents spoil you there's not a lot of people who are going to be able to afford this I will just buy the game and the Guitar and use my instruments from Rock Band.

hmmm another 180 bucks for a game? no thanks. rock band keeps me and my friends entertained. instead, were going to buy real guitars and drums and learn how to play them. sorry guitar hero, just a little too late with this one.

Oh well with THOSE bands it's surely going to be an epic fail. I mean, common who likes Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, or Korn? Right? Right? And plus, who would want to pay $180 for a better band set up? No thanks, I think I'll stick with my aging broken and slowly decaying Rock Band drum set. Yuck, those Guitar Hero drums just look so ugly - I mean cymbals!? Pff, whoever needed cymbals. No thanks, I prefer to PAY online to download a track when I actually want to play a good song. Setlists, who needs em. Harmonix was just SOOOOO much better back "in the day." In fact, I'm still playing Guitar Hero 1 and I absolutely refuse to get Guitar Hero 2 or 3 - I mean have you seen those ugly new guitars? No thanks, I'll stick the first old guitar I got.

i also have an idea for this genre of games... instead of having games that feature just one band (gh aerosmith+metallica) they should feature one genre... metal, classic rock, hard rock...etc
