Okay, you’ve all heard that Activision’s Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is going to be releasing a Coldplay track pack for download on Xbox Live Marketplace for Microsoft's Xbox 360 system and in the Playstation3 PlaystationStore, right?

Well, Kotaku is reporting that the release date for said Cold-pack is June 19th, and that the three-pack of songs includes the single "Violet Hill" from their upcoming album Viva la Vida along with two of the band's older tracks, "God Put a Smile Upon Your Face" form A Rush of Blood to the Head and "Yellow."

Great news, eh?

But….hmmmm…..

Look, no one is doubting Coldplay’s awesomeness (well, not here anyway), but one might  wonder, how much fun will it be to play guitar along to song by a band dominated by piano, with hardly any guitar in their songs?

Anyways, Viva la Vida is scheduled for release on June 17.
