Wii Gets Another Fitness Game

Posted June 12, 2008 - By Stephen Johnson

I maintain my chiseled physique through a combination of  running away from tigers and maintaining a strict diet I got from a tattered copy of Jack LaLane's Foods for Glamour  that I brought back from my last time-travel trip to the 1950s, so I'm good when it comes to fitness. You fatties, though, probably need some help.

Luckily, there's a second Wii game aimed at getting you in shape. Majesco's Jillian Michaels’ Fitness Ultimatum 2009 uses the Wii balance board and features a celebrity trainer--the skinny one from reality TV show The Biggest Loser.

“As a huge gamer myself with younger siblings and godchildren, I recognize the importance of staying current with how people digest their media and information,” said Jillian Michaels. “I truly think this type of product will be instrumental in revolutionizing the fitness industry and will help combat the childhood obesity epidemic in this country today. I couldn’t be more excited about partnering with Interactive Game Group and Majesco to bring a family-oriented fitness video game to the market.”
