Take Two Stares Down FTC

Posted June 11, 2008 - By Stephen Johnson

Mega game publisher Take Two is staring down the Federal Trade Commission by not complying with subpoenas the agency has issued.

On Tuesday, a U.S. District Court ordered Take-Two to explain why it hasn't complied with a subpoena and civil investigation demand (CID) issued by the FTC.

Take-Two said that the demands would be too costly and time consuming.

"The Company has already provided enormous quantities of data and access to key executives, and has offered to provide the FTC staff with additional documents and information.

"Nevertheless, the Company believes the FTC’s subpoena and CID are unnecessarily broad and would entail unacceptable additional expense to the Company."

We hope they don't decide to send Niko down to the court to answer the subpoena!
