Lmao, I don't own a 360, I own a PS3 and I don't see the 360 no longer being a contender in Europe. Sure, PS3 has seen more popularity in Europe than in other countries, but the 360 I'm pretty sure still has at least a pretty good hold over there. They do have a better line up of games (See, some of us can be a playstation owner and not be a fanboy jack a** at the same time!)

^Again PS3 has great games like resistance, Warhawk, and soon MGS4.

360 just has halo, gears of war, and mass effect.

Not counting the multiplatforms.

I think its safe to say that both consoles have great games.

Honestly, the 360 will only do good in the US...

Europeans hate Microsoft, they always try to sue them for everything...

Big surprise. The 360 never had anything good to play. Wii has a good assortment and PS3 has several now with more coming. It's just a matter of time before the children realized that FPS's are much better on PC rather than that failing 'box' without a mouse/KB. I guess the US is just slower to recognize crap, thankfully I knew it from the start and never got one. Even though I got a PS3 I've been playing the Wii and PS2 far more. Sony and especially M$ need to learn that games count most, not BS side-features.

First off I don't live in europe and probably never will...Second everyone knows Europeans have never liked anything made in the states (cars,most music,sports...etc etc...Especially the "lets all be in the cool kids club and hate the U.S." sentiment we have had since 2003. What matters to me is U.S. sales. PERIOD. I'm almost certain euro and japanese gamers do not and will not care of U.S.sales. We all know what great jobs ANAList do anyways pppfff!! What no analyst can predict is how simple a redisign and a pricedrop can affect sales. Who new having old tech like DVD-9 can make you a profit per console and still allows you to have pricecut!!!

Funny how every time Xbox 360 or Microsoft comes up as being beat or unable to sell enough units somewhere. This GARBAGE comes from some type of Analyst group who ends up being wrong about 100% of the time. Analyst seem to be the only ones always claiming that Xbox 360 is losing sales, yet its the only system with the largest attach rate and the only system with the most online members than any of the other two consoles. The only system making a profit and the only system that’s making third party companies money. The only system where GTA4 sold the most in Europe. The only system with the largest library of games. The only system with the most award winning games, The only system that has with stand Sony's dominance. The only system with the most exclusives this generation. Microsoft and Xbox 360 is doing just fine in 2008 and by the time Christmas comes along, if the Price drops to 199.99, they are going to be doing even better. Time can tell but no Analyst cannot predict.

Analysts have been saying a bunch of crap in Sony's favor since the release of the PS3. First, it was the PS3 will overtake the 360 in all markets within a year. now, they've surrendered the US market to the 360 and are claiming Sony will make a turnaround in Europe. I really think Sony is losing big time money so they're spinning heavily in hopes to recoup their loses.

Why would anyone buy the PS3 instead of the 360? The PS3 is more expensive and has mostly inferior looking multi-platformers and fewer exclusives? The only answer is because it's a cheap Blu-Ray player. That means people will buy fewer games for the PS3 and devs will start losing money on their 360 to PS3 ports and stop porting games to the PS3 altogether. Thusly, less games equals eventually PS3 fanboys will break down and buy a 360 anyway.

Thank you for not being bias like some PS3 fan boys, I don't try to go out of my way to bust on Sony and PS3, I only defend the truth about Xbox 360. Microsoft is doing what Sony did with the PS1 and PS2, what happened to Sony is they took their eye off the ball with PS3. 1.Pricing, 2. The problem with development kits, 3. Securing exclusives, 4. They Marketed bluray instead first instead of marketing PS3 as a gaming system. Games make a system. Nintendo is all about games. Microsoft made a promise and they kept to that promise to deliver games first, movies are just extra. Sony focused on Bluray first and lacked on the gaming side. I want a PS3, but with no real exclusives that I like, I don't need a PS3. When God of War 3 comes out, then I might think about it. I own a PS2 and I love it, but I play my Xbox 360 more. As the years go by the games are getting better. Sony has some real catching up to do in the gaming department. "Analyst" Stop the propaganda!

All systems are making a profit now and Microsoft was the only company who had to take a billion (or more) dollars to fix broken consoles. The RROD is still around, check the xbox.com hardware forums.

I have to disagree with you on a couple of points. The Wii also sells for a profit and fairly large one at that considering Nintendo is rolling in cash. The Wii has also withstood Sony's dominance and even taken it from them. It took the 360's dominance as well. Also the Wii has more exclusive games than the 360 and PS3 combined as almost every game for the Wii is exclusive due to its unique hardware. I'm not going to debate the quality of the systems or their games. I just wanted to state some simple facts. Also, for all of those people who have been going on about a G4 bias and how they only post negative stories about the PS3, well this a negative article about the 360 so go ahead and put this one on the scorecard.

Dude, to you its dead technology, but to millions of Xbox 360 owners so far don't see it that way. PS3 is a great system, be happy you own it. The reality is, Xbox 360 has many #1 games (Award winning games). A much larger library. There are millions of Xbox 360 owners happy with the system. Dead technology? That's so funny, what do you call Wii's technology? Wii is last generation technology, but they out sell the Xbox 360 and PS3 worldwide. There's more to a great system than technology. Sony messed up. They hire analyst to defend the PS3. Sony has real completion now, that’s reality. It’s not the system that is the problem, its Sony executives and Marketing people that’s not doing well against the competition.

You are correct about the money used to correct the RROD problem, Microsoft can affored it, but with that said, the Xbox 360 is still selling and it's creating more and more or an attach rate than any of the two systems. Microsoft is not going anywhere and the Xbox 360 will continue to grow. Games make the system worth getting. Sony lacks the exclusives that sells system's. Dude, all that talk about GTA4 will sell more units on PS3 than 360 and it was going to push more units, yet it was the opposite and Xbox 360 is making more money for Rockstar (Take 2).

Correction, the systems that are sold now don't have the same RRoD problem that the first Generation of systems that came out the first year into the second year. They are using the new system board. The RRoD issue is starting to simmer down, you really don't hear much about it. Some people are still stuck with the idea that it's still happening, but no, it's not happening as much as it did in the past. Xbox 360 is still selling well because of it's library of games and online service.

Interesting points you make, but shouldn't a hardware manufacturers first priority be making quality hardware? I stayed away from the xbox due to valid worries that my money would be tied up in a system that is prone to breakage. My brothers have all 3 current systems, and their xbox was shipped back 4 times. All this while still having the same launch PS3. And MS took a hit that was reportedly closer to 5 billion dollars for warranty extension/repair. I also have to think that shortly down the road the game devs will reach the hardware limitations of the xbox, then what? I do believe that the xbox is finally a worthy competitor this time around, and the true front runner, but it does have its share of problems. And all 3 systems have their share of turds on the gaming side, especially the Wii.

Ya know, everyone knocks the PS3 and praises the 360 yet they never have any facts. 360 has award winning games? Higher attach rate? All BS fed to them from 'analysts' who don't know not to feed the fanboys. There is NOT a single thing the 360 does right over the competition. Not one. Only reason they claim higher online rates is because they're the only idiots to charge and keep track. PC has done infintely better with no fee and PS3/Wii will follow. 360 is struggling to make a buck and it shows.

Any game on it is crap or multiplatform, so what sense does it make to buy/own a 360? Perhaps if you can't afford a real PC... I feel bad for those who got stuck with one but after a couple failures they probably bought something else anyway. Fact is the thing is sinking quickly as we can see. The US will wise up soon enough.

All you people (xbots) speak about the same thing. here are the facts.

1. The PS3 is selling faster than the 360 world wide
2. The PS3 atleast matches the 360 in sales in the US in 08.
3. The PS3 dominates the 360 everywhere esle
4. even with the year headstart the 360 only leads the PS3 by 5 million units.

Fact it takes time for quality games to come out and Sony really delivering now, and as for the cheap Bluray player comment well maybe MS shouldve ran with HD DVD harder. PS3 sells, it is catching the 360 quickly and it library is growing faster. for you (xbots) to repeat the same things over and over again shows stupidity. PS3 sells show the more growth worldwide. MS sells are even slowing here. the only thing that has MS a float is the year headstart and thats becoming a thing of the past.

uh ps3 fans have to repeat the same things over and over because no matter how clearly and slowly we repeat things you kids dont seem to understand. Really though i could care less about what sells more either here or worldwide. The more sales a system has doesent translate to it being better hardware. Seriously, if the xbox didnt run on dvd9 and more than lets say 2 games i wanted (Gears and dead rising) i would BUY ONE! Im an adult i can afford it. But it seriously only has one game i want coming out (2 if red alert doesent come out for the ps3)

like a few other xbox owners in here, you are at least tolerable and try to stick to facts. So lets stick to facts. First i would argue that the wii technology isnt last gen. I would say that that technology is the most innovative since the release of the original NES. Technology that nintendo has been trying to fine tune since the power glove. Graphically its not up to par, but i wouldnt call that kind of innovation last gen. Its just a shame MS and sony will steal that idea too. Okay, MS has more award winning games? You lost me there. We have oblivion and bioshock.what games are you talking about? Matter of fact...ill make a bet with any xbox fan in here.This years GOTY will be PS3 exclusive . My question to you is, why is a company considered anti-Xbox? Is it showing bias, or is it just analyzing sales trends between both systems? According to info posted by G4, PS3 is selling at a faster rate than the Xbox, and leads in 2 of the 3 main markets, even with a 1 year headstart by MS. It is an honest figure that can be easily found. Just try to be happy with the system that you stand behind, and stop trying to "prove" to everyone that you made the right choice.
