David Cole, an analyst from DFC Intelligence, believes that the Xbox 360 will "struggle" in Europe during 2008
He claims that it is because the Xbox 360 has an "urban, irreverent adult male feel; so it hasn't gained traction in the more casual gaming markets of mainland Europe such as France, Spain and Italy, where it's stalled."
He added, "that there are already rumours of Xbox 360 being delisted from certain retailers."
He contends that FPS games will continue to find a loving home on the Xbox 360, but the casual market is where he see's failure.
He also drops some hard logic on the Wii, saying that the casual console is very popular, but not have a "steady stream of games that please" the casual crowd.
Clearly, he is on Sony's payroll, am I right?

I think its safe to say that both consoles have great games.

Why would anyone buy the PS3 instead of the 360? The PS3 is more expensive and has mostly inferior looking multi-platformers and fewer exclusives? The only answer is because it's a cheap Blu-Ray player. That means people will buy fewer games for the PS3 and devs will start losing money on their 360 to PS3 ports and stop porting games to the PS3 altogether. Thusly, less games equals eventually PS3 fanboys will break down and buy a 360 anyway.

Thank you for not being bias like some PS3 fan boys, I don't try to go out of my way to bust on Sony and PS3, I only defend the truth about Xbox 360. Microsoft is doing what Sony did with the PS1 and PS2, what happened to Sony is they took their eye off the ball with PS3. 1.Pricing, 2. The problem with development kits, 3. Securing exclusives, 4. They Marketed bluray instead first instead of marketing PS3 as a gaming system. Games make a system. Nintendo is all about games. Microsoft made a promise and they kept to that promise to deliver games first, movies are just extra. Sony focused on Bluray first and lacked on the gaming side. I want a PS3, but with no real exclusives that I like, I don't need a PS3. When God of War 3 comes out, then I might think about it. I own a PS2 and I love it, but I play my Xbox 360 more. As the years go by the games are getting better. Sony has some real catching up to do in the gaming department. "Analyst" Stop the propaganda!
All systems are making a profit now and Microsoft was the only company who had to take a billion (or more) dollars to fix broken consoles. The RROD is still around, check the xbox.com hardware forums.

I have to disagree with you on a couple of points. The Wii also sells for a profit and fairly large one at that considering Nintendo is rolling in cash. The Wii has also withstood Sony's dominance and even taken it from them. It took the 360's dominance as well. Also the Wii has more exclusive games than the 360 and PS3 combined as almost every game for the Wii is exclusive due to its unique hardware. I'm not going to debate the quality of the systems or their games. I just wanted to state some simple facts. Also, for all of those people who have been going on about a G4 bias and how they only post negative stories about the PS3, well this a negative article about the 360 so go ahead and put this one on the scorecard.
Dude, to you its dead technology, but to millions of Xbox 360 owners so far don't see it that way. PS3 is a great system, be happy you own it. The reality is, Xbox 360 has many #1 games (Award winning games). A much larger library. There are millions of Xbox 360 owners happy with the system. Dead technology?
