In what may be a sign of our nation's growing economic instability, reports are coming in of massive layoffs at game developers LucasArts.
From game blog Kotaku:
LucasArts has laid off approximately 50-100 of its employees, including a handful of higher profile names like VP of Product Development Peter Hirschmann.
Another apparent casualty: LEGO Indiana Jones and LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga producer Shawn Storc.
The pink-slippenings come shortly after the departure of LucasArts prez Jim Ward, and the buzz is the company plans to license their properties (Indy, Star Wars, etc.) to third-parties as opposed to developing their own titles.
