According to producer Patrick Aiello, the Street Fighter film will not contain Ken or Ryu, simply because there are too many characters to cram into one film. While he says that they will definitely not be making an appearance this time out, he does allow for the idea that they might show up some time in the future, if there are sequels.
He also said that the tone of the film will be more serious and less like a game, which means that you won't be seeing some of the more ludicrous things about the games in the movie, but not to worry, since they have you, the gamer, at heart while they are making it.
