Crytek has pulled the plug on patches for Crysis on the PC. The graphically stunning FPS will not be receiving any more changes and fixes from Crytek.

They have also stopped development on a Linux version of the game's server software. They are citing problems with piracy as their reason.

Crysis sold relatively well, but Crytek maintains that their sales were hurt by rampant piracy of their title.

Crytek plans on focusing more on console development because the increased security against piracy. They have also trademarked the following titles, which could mean a sequel or expansion:

  • Crysis Warzone
  • Crysis Wars
  • Crysis Warhead
  • World in Crysis
