It's summertime, and that means too things: Sunblock and internet rumors! We're fresh out of FPS 60, but we have a fat rumor for you: Sony has already tested a Wii-mote type controller for the PlayStation 3.
Okay, it's dicey. We've never heard of the source of the rumor, and Sony won't comment, plus, the PlayStation 3 already has a motion sensing controller, but anyway, here's the rumor, in a nutshell:
A secret focus group was held in which a select group of gamers were shown a PS3 controller that sensed motion. The thing required a tri-pod to work, and was apparently very, very sensitive. The group played a bunch of minigames: Tennis, Fencing and Paintball.
To bolster their case, the blog this came from included text of an email supposedly sent to focus group members.
Interesting! What do yo think the chances are that this is true?
