Posted May 30, 2008 - By Brian Leahy

Valve has announced a new feature for their online distribution platform, Steam. Dubbed Steam Cloud, the service will store save games and key bindings for Valve games on their servers.

This will give players access to these files when playing from anywhere in the world just by logging in with their Steam account.

The tools will be freely available for developers and could be incorporated into every game on Steam.

The initial line-up of supported games will be Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike: Source and the upcoming Left 4 Dead.
