The MMO Report: Age of Conan Special

Posted by Patrick Roche-Sowa - Friday, May 23, 2008 9:37 AM

The MMO Report was delayed to Friday again this week, but for good reason. Age of Conan has seen one of, if not the most successful launches in video game history. The hype surrounding this title in the MMO community has been beyond what we've seen in recent memory. But we all know what can happen when a game's bark is worse than its bite even before it's actually on store shelves.

So we decided to give you this, our exclusive Age of Conan special. We got the chance to sit down with Jason Stone, a game designer from Funcom who worked on Age of Conan to find out how the game is separating itself from the pack. With details on the combat system, massive PvP action, and their unique anti-greifing prison system that will be folding into the game soon after launch, Jason gives you all the information you need to make an informed decision as to whether you're the type of barbarian Hyborian is looking for.

Plus we got an awesome new set, and that's way more important.

So shine your battle axe, put on your helmet, and watch out for innocents in the path of your backswing. This is...

The MMO Report.

Awesome new set! I actually wasn't all that interested in Age of Conan until this episode changed that.

DAMN YOU MMO REPORT!!!!!

I had ZERO interest in this game until I watched this interview. Now some of the game play elements make me want to try it.

Wow, the new set looks great.

As for Conan, I'm definitely impressed now. I'm going to have to give it a try. Which I really needed. Thanks MMO report for giving me yet another reason to blow my money.
