Simpsons Actors To Make Half-Mil An Ep

Posted May 22, 2008 - By Mike D'Alonzo

The Simpsons will be going into its 20th Season this Fall, and, to celebrate, the actors on the show are getting a raise, to an industry-standard $500,000 an episode. That's a pretty big salary, and the 22 episode schedule means, by rough math, that each actor will make about a billion dollars this season, which is a lot of money.

We're thinking that they're worth it, but we're also thinking that it might be time to consider making The Simpsons an ex-television show, especially as the quality has been arguably on the decline for the past few years. Still, these people deserve to be given their own small countries as a result of the joy they've given us over the years.
