Oh, man, those Guillermo Del Toro Hobbit movies are picking up steam now, as they're already in pre-production in the New Zealand creative sweatshop called WETA, where Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh force people to live in verdant splendor and make great art for a decent wage! How can they stand it?
Seriously, though, the scripts are in, written by Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens, and they are already in talks with Viggo Mortensen, Ian McKellen, and Andy Serkis to reprise their roles from The Lord of the Rings for the films. This is good news, and we're sure to have more of it pouring in over, say, the next five years.
