360 Troubled in India

Posted May 20, 2008 - By TylerColfax

Microsoft is closing up shop on the Xbox 360 tip in India and has sealed up their marketing budget for the rest of this year. It seems that rampant piracy of software, coupled with hardware failures (duh,) and crappy customer support have hurt sales so bad, they're just going to cut their losses.

Microsoft decided two weeks ago to drop the price of the 360 in South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore, but it's expected that keeping the price still in India indicates that Microsoft just can't take on any more losses in that country.

You know, I traveled to India one time for Spring Break and when I came back I had a Red Ring of Death, too. OH!
