Rumor of the day: Splinter Cell Conviction, the next iteration of the popular series, has been taken "back to the drawing board" by Ubisoft, and the game could come out as late as 2010.
The source of the rumor is Xbox World Magazine, which reports that Ubisoft felt Conviction was outdated by more recent gaming developments - most notably Ubisoft's own Assassin's Creed. So, reportedly, it's back to the square one.
Ubisoft has denied the rumor, calling it "pure speculation."
