Speaking during a conference call yesterday, Activision Publishing CEO and president Mike Griffith dropped a few tantalizing details about the next Call of Duty game.
The unnamed sequel will arrive on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, and Nintendo DS later this year, and it looks like it won't be set in World War II, the series' go-to setting.

oh yeah. i hope everything is destroyable. come on people . . .lets get back to red faction one.
It's learning....
Treyarch is developing COD5. Activision is the owner of the COD name and they had Infinity Ward do the last one and treyarch do this next one.
I'm sure it'll be a good game like COD3 but not be anywhere near groundbreaking as 4. This is just to give fans their COD fix until infinity ward can release COD6 in '09
Modern Molemen!
Imagine going through molemen tunnels and shooting up those pesky vermin!
Their helicopter will be moth people, who wrap you up in a cocoon and suck your brains out.
the only good cod is the 2nd one
French and Indian War!
You play as a young American Settler who sides with the Brits to kill the two greatest threats America has ever faced:
Civil Rights and French People!
(Though if you include a lot of Frenchies, the game goes from a FPS to more of a horror game)
Treyarch just doesn't have a knack for good natural human movement. Look at their Spider-Man games. Looks too fake. IW are a bunch of gods when it comes to this stuff.
oh! and suicide bombers. I would break into Gamestop at 11:00 to get it if there was just one "ALLAH AKBAR!!!" ...*pop
(if any of these games are made, I want royalties!!!)
