'GRID' Demo Gameplay

Posted by Brian Leahy - Thursday, May 08, 2008 5:06 PM

The makers of DIRT are back with a new game, GRID. This game is all about drifting and arcade style racing. I took the demo for a spin and put my drifting skills to the test (I failed).

Just to prove there are no hard feelings, I chose the PS3 demo over the Xbox 360 demo.

The full game will release on June 3, 2008 for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Pretty good. Gonna get some MGO in before it shuts down.

The PS3 demo, really? That's a rare occurrence...anyway, why did you do this MotorStorm rip-off (or at least DIRT seemed like it to me) instead of the HAZE demo?

Besides that, I would actually say you were pretty good...what's ur PSN ID? =)

i just played this demo on the xbox 360 and i have to sat that this is not really that good of a game at all...the driving physics are horrible, not even realistic at all. DiRT and Forza Motorsport 2 are much better

this game was terrible, after playing GTA4 lifelike car physics this game will look like crap, its from codemasters the ones that made that retarded WWII game forgot what it was called

lol yeah i saw bleahy playing it too. i didn't like the arcade driving style as it felt a little too arcade... but i still say nothing beats the driving style of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 and Need for Speed Underground 1. two of the best examples of what non-simulation driving style should feel like. Thats in my opinion of course. what do you think?

that retarded WWII game you are thinking of is Turning Point. I was really hopeful for that to be a good game as it was a very original concept that they decided to make a big black xbox bs game out of. Hope that doesnt happed to GRID.

Well I gotta say that while it did look like fun and I really like that flashback feature, the speeds at which you made some of those turns during the first part of the video were ridiculous. It looked like you were driving a formula 1 car the way your tires were griping those corners. Sometimes even when your car got some air it still hung on like a champ. Guess I'll try the demo anyway...

i dont say the game is horrible and some people may like this game but i say either play the demo or rent this game before buying it because this is not realistic at all. i give it like a 2.5 out of 5

This latest racing game looks like it could have the potential to make me want to leave the (A+) Burnout franchise alone for a minute maybe because i am interested in playing it in single player and multiplayer offline and online,you feel me? I thought (based on what i played for free at Best Buy) that the racing game (DIRT) was pretty good by the way,you feel me?

@gravy666

Actually the names are DiRT and GRID so they are noobs trying to be trendy using mixed case.

I found the rally part of DiRT was really good, the stupid trucks and buggies not so much.
